GMC Christmas Party 2019: A Night of Fun and Glamour

GMC-Cebu employees had a blast during the 2019 Christmas Party which happened last December 7 at the GMC New Basketball Court.  The party with the theme “COACHELLA” brought fun and excitement to the GenMillers.

                     GMC EVP Engr. Joselito Fausto F. Parco gave the Opening Remarks.

Engr. Joselito Fausto F. Parco, Executive Vice-President officially opened the program by gving an inspiring message, and surprised everyone with a video message from Mr. George U. Young Jr., GMC President.

Mr. Young’s video message was shown during the event.

In Mr. Young’s message, he thanked all GenMillers for the continued support and contribution given to the company. As GMC approaches its 60th year, Mr. Young said that the Company will continue to be passionate to develop more quality products and excel in the food industry business. He further said that the Management will continue to put the welfare of the employees as a primary concern because truly they are the lifeblood of GMC.  He then concluded his speech with a Christmas wish to all GenMillers.

Mr. Kirk U. Young, GMC Executive Director also graced the occasion with his presence.

To keep the night alive, our Executives gave a surprise number. Loud cheers also rallied when our newly-hired employees, Managers and Union Members grooved to the beat of Christmas songs.

Along with the fun brought by the intermission numbers, GenMillers’ excitement continued to radiate during the Music Icon Showdown Competition and the presentation of the candidates for Stars of the Night.

The announcement of Raffle Draw winners followed afterwards.  Indeed, everyone went home happy and smiling because all  of them received a prize.

Here are the highlights of the event:

The Human Resource Team led the Invocation and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem.

The Executives together with some selected Managers and Consultant wowed the crowd with their One Direction song.                   The newly-hired GenMillers in their Intermission Number

GMC Managers confidently shook off their diffidence and followed the rhythm of the night.

The Union Officers and Members caroled happily to the crowd.

The Yellow Team called it game over, after being hailed as Champion of the Music Icon Showdown. They gave an impressive performance after performing the Christmas song hits of Jose Mari Chan.

 

L-R: The Green team with their Music Icon Beyonce brought home the 2nd place, while the Red Team (Spice Girls) and Blue Team (Korean Popstar Psy) came in 3rd and 4th, respectively.

The Yellow Team which was composed of the employees of the New Admin. Bldg. received their cash prize.

  

The other teams of the Music Icon Showdown also received their cash prizes.

20 ladies and gentlemen were presented to the crowd as candidates of the Stars of the Night. These Genmillers took an extra effort to be “in” with the theme Coachella; thus, chosen as the official candidates for the said contest.

The Coachella King (Mark Jomar Gahay) and Queen (Jochel Mahistrado) together with GMC Officers  (Ms. Poshan Dy, Mr. Kirk Young and Mr . Edwin Kho) and Bb. Cebu Candidates and their Manager.

   

The 2nd and 3rd placers of the Stars of the Night received their prizes, as well.

                    Mr. Kirk U. Young, GMC Executive Director picked one winner during the Major Raffle Draw.

A music party sealed the night which the employees truly enjoyed.
