General Milling Corporation participated the Mactan Eco Zone – Emergency Response Team (MEZ-ERT) Competition held last March 25, 2023 at the GMC Vacant Lot, Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. The activity aims to promote awareness in emergency response and in observance of the Fire Prevention Month. This also tested the swiftness and team work of the fifteen (15) companies from in and out of the Mactan Eco Zone.
Though it was GMC’s first time to join this activity, GMC did not disappoint as it bagged awards from the 2 major categories of the activity, the Fire Hose Relay with Busted and Ladder, and the Fire Extinguisher Relay Categories. GMC placed 2nd for the Fire Hose Relay, while 5th place for the Fire Extinguisher Relay.

Rodanil O. Gonzaga of the HR Department represented GMC for the Miss MEZ-ERT competition.
