Last September 8, 2022, Luzon GenMillers joined the 3rd National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill headed by the Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Red Cross and Makati City Hall.
All employees from different companies actively participated in the drill which started with one-minute siren, a signal to assume that a real earthquake is happening and all were expected to do the “Duck, Cover and Hold” position.
After the one-minute alarm, our employees led by GMC-Luzon Safety Officer, Ms. Noemi Bustamante, left the Legaspi building and went straight to Legaspi Active Park, designated evacuation area, with their heads covered by their arms to protect it from any falling objects.
Upon reaching the evacuation site, our employees witnessed the rescue and 1st aid demonstration activities by the NCP Advisors Philippine Inc. After the 1- hour drill, our employees went back to the office and were treated with some snacks for their efforts and participation.
